You have two engine options when buying a new Chevy Trailblazer. The base model has a 137-horsepower 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The fuel economy for this option is 29 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. You will likely find the performance of this model to be sufficient.

However, if you'd like some more power, the second option is a 155-horsepower 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with either a CVT or a nine-speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy for this model is 29 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. All-wheel drive is available, and you can expect to drive 26 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway with an all-wheel-drive Trailblazer.

Interior

There is comfortable seating for up to five people in the new Chevy Trailblazer and 25.3 cubic feet of space for cargo, an amount that jumps to 54.4 cubic feet if you fold down the seats. The amount of room in the Trailblazer makes long road trips comfortable for adult passengers in rear seats. Large items like golf clubs can fit into the new Trailblazer with ease. A panoramic sunroof that enhances your driving experience is available. Automatic climate control is also available.

Technology

You'll enjoy commuting like never before because of the infotainment system in the new Chevy Trailblazer. The 7-inch touchscreen is ideally situated and enables you to access many technologies, and you can upgrade to an 8-inch touchscreen. Standard tech features include wireless Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, satellite radio and Bluetooth®. Safety Features

There are many safety features in the base model of the new Chevy Trailblazer, starting with forward collision warning, lane keep assist, Teen Driver and pedestrian detection. Forward automatic emergency braking can detect a potential front-end collision and apply the brakes when necessary. Lane departure warning can identify lane drifting and gently turns the steering wheel. Available cruise control, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring further enhance your time on the road by providing information to help you stay safe while driving. You can also choose adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors.

Trim Levels

The new Chevy Trailblazer is available in four trim levels: the LS, LT, Activ and RS. The base model has many features that drivers want in an SUV, making it a viable choice. However, it's worth considering each of the higher trims, as they offer some highly beneficial amenities.

• LS: Standard in the LS model is a 137-horsepower 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine. It also has wireless Android Auto™, wireless Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth®, a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot and USB ports, along with a wealth of standard safety features.
• LT: This trim adds cruise control, remote start, a power-adjustable driver's seat, push-button start and heated front seats to the standard features.
• Activ: A 155-horsepower 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, synthetic leather upholstery, sport terrain tires, a heated steering wheel and off-road suspension tuning make the Activ model a top choice.
• RS: The RS trim is priced close to the Activ trim, and it comes with unique aesthetic features that give it a premium style.
